Laizer Kornwasser has a very firm view when it comes to technology, especially when discussing the health care industry. He believes that, while technology is certainly a welcome part of the answer to many problems facing the world today, it is important to remember that technology alone is not the solution. For example, healthcare is a people-centric industry and the focus should be on patient care and all it entails, including crunching numbers to improve efficiency and determine cost-effectiveness.
Laizer Kornwasser has a very firm view when it comes to technology, especially as it relates to the healthcare industry. He believes that while technology is certainly a welcome part of the answer to many problems facing the world today, it is important to remember that technology alone is not the solution. For example, healthcare is a people-centric industry, and the focus should be on patient care and all it entails.
Over the years, Laizer has discovered his passion for providing patients with the tools and resources they need to get actively involved in their own health. Time and again, he has seen a need for this type of action and freedom, and he envisions a world where patients will feel empowered to initiate proactive care and consistently follow through.
As President and CEO of CareCentix, Laizer Kornwasser continues to follow this model, with hopes to enrich the lives of his patients through hard work and dedication to the craft. While technology platforms and remote monitoring can support people in post-acute care, attention to nonverbal communication and keen listening skills can never be replaced by a machine or device. As such, Laizer aims to ensure that his team is trained to observe and listen to what patients say and don’t say whenever there is an interaction with a client.
Aside from having an intuitive understanding of what people need and want, Laizer Kornwasser also has an extensive background in business, health care, and the financial industry. Prior to CareCentrix, Laizer was a professor of management at the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University and has held executive leadership positions in healthcare services, investment banking, and Fortune 50 companies.
Furthermore, Laizer has served on the Board of Directors of the National Bank of California and Everyday Health. Laizer held the title of Senior Vice President at Medco Health Solutions for many years. Now, in addition to his role at CareCentrix, Laizer Kornwasser is a well-regarded professor at Yeshiva University.
Laizer Kornwasser holds a B.S. in Accounting from Yeshiva University and a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
